Another Thrifty find from the Will

I could not pass this one up.



2.99 and it was perfect for the bathroom. Not to tall or large for the area. Just perfect. It matches my seagrass magazine/ toilet paper holder from 31.

New Chandelier

I have been looking for a new chandelier to go over the dining room table. I found lots of stuff that I liked but not at a price I  was willing to pay. Then I found this beauty at the Will  ( That's what I call the Goodwill) .

 bargain price of? Get ready for this 3.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will replace the french cottage one hanging above the table now. The french one will go in our someday Master bath. ( Lord willing and the creek don't rise) that's what my Grandma use to say!

I think I got it on the money! Literally 3.99 at the Will.  I'll post a picture when we get it hung up. Have a great day

What I saved on this week

Another Goodwill or as I like to call it (The Will) deal!  Found these Knife dividers/holders  sitting on a shelve just waiting for me! Brand new..  total score

Two of them were .99 cents and one was 1.99 Williams-Sonoma

The large one was 34.95 new
The small ones were 19.95 new


That's 54.90 if bought in the store new.  I scored them for 3.00 still in the wrappers! Total savings= 51.90

Today's Finds!

 I am so excited! I found some really great wood boxes today. I have been looking for some to hold  the boy's books. (Will some of their books anyway).

Vintage train cups

 -It was like a Christmas Party At the Thrift this week!

- I found Vintage Train cups for the boys, in the original woolworths box!

- I also found 4 Vintage Christmas Glasses for the Adults

- A really cute berry tree ( but I think I am going to use it year round) 

- 4 lovely blue plates

I can't wait to use these, they are going to look great on our open shelving

- I keep the main dishes white or off white, so everything ties in, no matter what time of year

-Here is where the little tree ended up! I think it goes well

-I was going to paint the bottom bucket white, but I think it fits well just the way it is

Goodwill Hunting

-Let's talk about clothing. Keep in mind these are my own personal actions. If you like it great! , if not that's ok to.

-I love clothes, I really really love clothes, but clothing can get really expensive. Years ago I discovered the Goodwill and consignment shops, best thing that ever happened.  Here's the bottom line, you can get a ton for a little $$.

Jeans, Tops, dresses, shoes,  purses and a skirt

4 dresses- one with tags still on 30.00 reg.  Then the Black one is Isaac Mizrahi and a Express dress.

 Don't exchange what you want the most for what you want today~ ww leader....yes I am a member !

-Here's the break down,  Jeans 2 pair levi's bootcut- 3.00, Shirts 3 of them ( one is a vintage Rolling Stones t-shirt) 2.50, Dresses 4 of them 5.00 on sale 2.50 each! ( one with the tags still on it). Purses 2 2.25 Kathy Van Zeeland and Bisou Bisou ( total Score) one leather and one suede ! Shoes 3.00 and boots 4.00 ( boots are Isaac Mizrahi) . Skirt 1 on the 1.00 rack! Total = 36.00, plus i had a 20% off coupon...Just donate anything even newspaper and the will give you one. Grand total = 28.80! That's the cost of one pair of Levis!  But, I have 14 items!

Goodwill Deals!

I love thrift stores, yard sales and The Goodwill! I also love saving money!  This is my Goodwill deal from last week. 4 plates and 6 bowls . They had more bowls, but I only need the six. All for under 5.00.




I love the Goodwill, for several reason 1.) If you donate items, they will give you a 20% off coupon 2.) They have some kind of sale once a week. For example if the clothing has a yellow tag 50% off.  Each week it changes, it could be dishes, toys, movies or different color tags. So combine that with your coupon and your looking at 70% off the already awesome prices.

Cute Cheap bags!

Ok, I just had to share theses really cute Bags I found at the Dollar Tree!  The little Strawberry's are to Sweet! You just pull the slide down the handle and out pops a  Bag.  Then when you are done, you just push the bag back in.  Great to just pop in your purse! Ok thats it, lol

I knew these were a winner before I got out the door, when another lady stopped to ask were I got it!  HAHA, right by the register honey!

Previously Enjoyed

For months I had been looking for a new dresser for my bedroom. It's very hard to find something that would tie in with My cottage theme. We ended up buying a dresser from one of those Big furniture places, where you get the stock number and load it yourself! Big mistake, I drove one and half hours to get it and back. Just to find out it was not all in the box! To make a long!!! story short. 2 days later and many hours spent on the road, it went back! Not to mention it was made out of particle board. So, I have clothes everywhere now and no dresser! And my wise husband says, " why don't you get something older?" This is where you insert the sound of crickets in the back ground! Geez, why didn't I think of that. I am not sure where my head had been for those few months. I always try to buy things that I can repurpose or recycle! I found this beauty 5 miles down the road in a consignment shop. It's very old and someone had already did all the heavy work painting it! It has lasted all these years, I am sure it will last me. Now she is old ( yes the dresser is a She, I am sick like that, lol) She needed a little wax so the drawers would open easily, and the drawer pulls needed tightening up. I suppose if we were this old, we would need a little tightening up too. Did I mention, The money I saved, more than half the price of the big store dresser.

I didn't notice till I got home with it, one of the drawer pulls does not match. But I am ok with that!

One women's Junk

You know what they say "one women's junk is another women's treasure!"  But in this house we like to call it Previously Enjoyed!   I found this little beauty in a Thrift store. It cost me a whole 1.49, HAHA
